Zeiss Ikon Movikon 16
The Movicon 16 was a full featured 16mm movie camera, and was a completely new design, not one
brought in from the merger. It dates to the mid-1930's.
It was fitted with an interchangeable 25/1.4 Sonnar with coupled rangefinder focusing. A 75/4 Sonnar
was also available. There may have been other lenses that could have been ordered as well. Spring
motor with speeds 12-64 fps. Viewing was through either an eye-level or waist-level finder. In addition,
there was an accessory shoe on the side which could hold a special version of the turret finder with
framelines for the cine format and marked in focal lengths available for the camera. Information on this
model is pretty scarce.
